“The most we can give you is a quarter million.”

“Thirty million is the least I will take. I am giving you my whole family.”

    “Fine. Thirty million.”

I stand to shake hands and accept the fact that I have just sold 2675 souls for thirty million dollars. The guilt builds at the back of my throat and it’s becoming hard to swallow. A slick suitcase is brought into the room and thrust into my hands. After leaving and being alone, I vomit until my lips are coated with blood. I enter my house, wash my face, serve myself a scotch, and place the suitcase in front of me. After taking a swig, and contemplating what thirty million will look like, I throw open the suitcase and much to my alarm the suitcase has a few stacks staring at me. I jump up from my seat and search the contents of the suitcase. Hoping to find the rest of the money hidden in a compartment. Finally I find a piece of paper. I read the note.

“We felt you deserved much less than a million. A gentleman would have given us these people for free, but as seeing you are a different class of man we have given you a small sum. Be sure if you do not like this amount we can kill you and take our money back. Enjoy and don’t spend it all in one place!”

I fall back into my seat, pull out my pistol, lock my jaw around the barrel, and pull the trigger.

Day 15 of FFM There was no challenge and I used the following prompt

The price of a gentleman’s word is $10,000. - by UsamaSaeed
